The Final Jeopardy question (8/2/2013) in the category “Bodies of Water” was:

This body of water bearing the name of a country borders 5 U.S. States.

It’s the last game of the Kid’s Tournament and the contestants are: Xan Vessels from Mechanicsville, VA; Holly Boivin, from Nashua, NH; and Patrick Aimone, from Long Beach, CA.

Patrick found the Jeopardy! round Daily Double in “Elements” before the first break. He was the only one with any money — $800. Xan was still at zero and Holly was negative $200. He bet what he had on hand and he was RIGHT.

Daniel Rutherford discovered this gas that makes up most of the atmosphere & called it “noxious air”.

WHAT IS THE GULF OF MEXICO?

“The Gulf of Mexico’s eastern, northern, and northwestern shores lie along the US states of Florida, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, and Texas. The US portion of the Gulf coastline spans 1,680 miles (2,700 km), receiving water from thirty-three major rivers that drain 31 states.” (wikipedia)

just a thought….considering the money j. makes, maybe they should all kids give the money they earn. not just the first place finisher, but today Xan could have gotten 11 K and Patrick 18 K. kind of disappointing when you finish with 18K and take home just 2.000…..it would not bankrupt sony…and be an incentive and reward for the kids. just mho…
