Wheel of Fortune, Week of 5-30-2022
It’s Wheel of Fortune, America’s Game and we’re posting the Bonus Puzzle with the winner’s final prize amount. By way of comparison, the Jeopardy! payoff is also included with a link to the recap of that game.
Season 39
Mon 5-30: $54,750
On Jeopardy: $17,000
Erik put two G’s and one M in his bonus puzzle and he knew it right away. Like Jinger last week, he blurted out the solution before
_ H _ 🟪 _ L _ _ K 🟪 _ V _ N 🟪 S _ A R _ _ D
Vanna was still walking back to her place. Maybe that will get Erik a write-up in the media, too. On the show, it got him an extra $39,000.
Tue 5-31: $54,750
On Jeopardy: $26,000
Charlotte got an H and two O’s out of the letters she selected. She had the last word in the bag once the H and one O were turned over. When it came to the first word,
_ H E 🟪 _ _ M E H _ W 🟪 L _ _ T 🟪 F _ C U _
trying words with more letters than she was looking at. That cost Charlotte a new Ford Bronco.
Wed 6-1: $12,440
On Jeopardy: $7,400
Kevin put an F and an O in the puzzle. That F confirmed the second word for Kevin but he had no
_ D _ A 🟪 W H _ R _ 🟪 T _ 🟪 B _ G _ N
with the first word so he lost out on a $45,000 bonus prize. I wished Kevin had tried to confirm the second word with its first letter.
Thu 6-2: $27,450
On Jeopardy: $19,300
Jason only got a B from his regular letters and he got a G with his Wild Card. Jason’s very
F I _ _ _ 🟪 G U E _ _ 🟪 W A _ 🟪 _ H O _ _
a letter and he couldn’t get away from that. His reaction when he saw the solution seemed to say it was something he should have known. Jason missed out on an extra $39,000.
Fri 6-3: $57,269
On Jeopardy: $20,000
Calvin got a P, and I and a C from his regular letters. He didn’t need that extra Wild Card letter,
A _ 🟪 I _ 🟪 _ _ R N _ D 🟪 O _ _.
It was really nice to see someone solve the whole puzzle on the strength of one word, for a change. Calvin’s bonus prize was a new Ford Bronco worth $31,300
