Wheel of Fortune, Week of 5-2-2022
It’s Wheel of Fortune, America’s Game and we’re posting the Bonus Puzzle with the winner’s final prize amount. By way of comparison, the Jeopardy! payoff is also included with a link to the recap of that game.
Season 39
Mon 5-2: $17,050
On Jeopardy: $16,801
Louis successfully chose two H’s, two Y’s and an A. As helpful as that was, he still was left with one 5-letter word that only had an N showing. It would have
B _ _ N 🟪 _ N 🟪 _ N _ R M _ U _ 🟪 H _ L _
if he had the first letter of that word but he didn’t. He couldn’t solve it in 10 seconds and didn’t win the $39,000 bonus prize.
Tue 5-3: $21,163
On Jeopardy: $29,599
David put a D and two A’s in his bonus puzzle. Ten seconds simply was not enough time to
_ A _ _ O _ 🟪 D O _ _ 🟪 T H _ 🟪 P O _ _ _ B _ L _ T _ E _,
even though you could immediately rule out “petulant.” David was stumped and lost out on the $39,000 bonus prize.
Wed 5-4: $117,163
On Jeopardy: $28,400
Chanelle started out with a 4-word puzzle with one lonely N showing! Her letter choices yielded one C, two M’s and two A’s. Those
A _ _ I _ I O _ S 🟪 _ U R _ E _ 🟪 _ H E 🟪 _ I _ E
in Chanelle’s favor and it sure was a wonderful thing to behold when she solved it and won an extra $100,000. Congratulations, Chanelle!
Thu 5-5: $21,663
On Jeopardy: $25,999
The only letter Darius picked that was in his puzzle was a P, and there were 3 of them. The positions they were in should have worked out for Darius but, in one of

we get to see on Wheel of Fortune, he could not get the notion out of his head that double vowels were what was missing from the first word. That cost Darius $39,000 but at least he had a good laugh and won $21,663.
Fri 5-6: $23,500
On Jeopardy: $15,600
Sam put an M and an O in her first word. She also completed the second word with an H. It’s very difficult to come up with a workable set of 3 consonants and a vowel for puzzles,
_ I _ H 🟪 F E _ 🟪 _ U P _ I _ A _ E 🟪 _ E _ _ E R S,
like this one. It certainly isn’t any easier when you’re trying to think of a phrase and you’re looking at a fragment! Sam lost out on an extra $39,000.
