Wheel of Fortune, Week of 4-18-2022

It’s Wheel of Fortune, America’s Game and we’re posting the Bonus Puzzle with the winner’s final prize amount. By way of comparison, the Jeopardy! payoff is also included with a link to the recap of that game.

Season 39

Mon 4-18: $57,200
On Jeopardy: $28,401
Jody on Wheel of Fortune (4-18-22)
Jody started out by picking an F, making me think she knew the solution; however, the rest of her consonant picks,
_ N C L U _ _ N _ πŸŸͺ _ πŸŸͺ W _ L _ πŸŸͺ C _ R _,
didn’t support that supposition. Sometimes the ayes (I’s) have it but this time, it was the O’s that did the trick. That was worth an additional $45,000 to Jody and that was just super!

Tue 4-19: $47,736
On Jeopardy: $17,281
Liz on Wheel of Fortune (4-19-22)
Liz got a B and an A from her letters. If you ask me, half can be good or bad. It largely depends on
W _ _ R _ πŸŸͺ T _ _ πŸŸͺ _ _ T T _ R S πŸŸͺ F A _ _
and the beginning of the first word is a better place than most. It certainly worked out well for Liz. She solved the puzzle right away and added a Volkswagen Tiguan worth $31,504 to her $16,232 from the main game.

Wed 4-20: $52,687
On Jeopardy: $26,400
Kevin on Wheel of Fortune (4-20-22)
You could see Kevin’s consonant choices were meant to find the start of the second word. Two of those picks
_ _ R N _ D πŸŸͺ _ P πŸŸͺ _ N πŸŸͺ O _ H _ R πŸŸͺ S _ O _ S
but that hardly mattered. Kevin got the answer out before the timer even started ticking. He won the second car this week, same one as Liz yesterday, adding $31,504 in value to the $21,183 he won in the main game.

Thu 4-21: $67,000
On Jeopardy: $14,799
Vivian on Wheel of Fortune (4-21-22)
Vivian put a P and an O in her puzzle. They landed on either side of the R in the first word and Vivian could not help
J _ _ P I _ G πŸŸͺ _ P πŸŸͺ A _ _ πŸŸͺ _ O W _
once she saw that. She won the $39,000 prize that no one gets that excited over, even though it is usually more money than the cars they give away.

Fri 4-22: $76,063
On Jeopardy: $34,000
Jason on Wheel of Fortune (4-22-22)
Jason had an idea of what the fourth word in his five-word puzzle was and he chose his letters accordingly. It’s always nice to see a contestant show
C O _ F I D _ _ C _ πŸŸͺ I _ πŸŸͺ _ πŸŸͺ _ U _ C _ ,
especially when it turns out right. In this case, it also paid quite well. After Jason came up with a quick solve, Pat showed him a $45,000 card. That brought Jason’s total winnings up to $76,063. Bravo!
