Kathy finished in the lead with $21,000. Aaron was next with $19,200 and Eddie was in third place with $600.

TWO of the contestants got Final Jeopardy! right.

WHO IS STEPHEN KING?

The Dark Tower series was chiefly inspired by the Robert Browning poem and the full text was included in the final volume’s appendix. “In the preface to the revised 2003 edition of The Gunslinger, King also identifies The Lord of the Rings, Arthurian Legend, and The Good, the Bad and the Ugly as inspirations. He identifies Clint Eastwood’s “Man with No Name” character as one of the major inspirations for the protagonist, Roland Deschain. King’s style of location names in the series, such as Mid-World, and his development of a unique language abstract to our own (High Speech), are also influenced by J. R. R. Tolkien’s work.”(wikipedia)

Eddie wrote down “JRR Tolkein.” He bet it all and finished with nothing.

Aaron got it right and added $1,999, to finish with $21,199.

Kathy also got it but bet big. She added 17,398 to her winning so Kathy Wright is the one who ended up with quite a payday today: $38,398. It’ll be a while before we see a one-day total like that, or maybe not. Kathy will be back tomorrow!

Alex said nary a word about yesterday’s Final Jeopardy! Events in the Bible gaffe. The funny thing about it is, there was a Final Jeopardy! question back last February concerning the first chapter of Acts where the clue supplied what really happened (Matthias was chosen to replace Judas).
