Wheel of Fortune, Week of 9-9-2019
It’s Wheel of Fortune, America’s Game and we’re posting the Bonus Puzzle with the winner’s final prize amount. By way of comparison, the Jeopardy! payoff is also included with a link to the recap of that game.
$37,000 is the new minimum prize in Season 37
Theme: Teachers Week
Mon 9-9-19 $71,980
On Jeopardy: $29,200
Rachel got one D and two O’s from her letter choices, and that pretty much
_ P _ L L _ D I _ _ U _
for her. She won a Ford Edge worth $42,330 on top of the $29,650 from the main game. Nice way to kick off the new season.
Tue 9-10-19 $22,634
On Jeopardy: $25,600
With a shot at a million on the line, Mark got an O from his selections. Not much help there. Evidently, Pat heard him say the last word but that wasn’t going to get him anywhere
_ I _ H O U _ _ H E _ I R S _ _ O _ D
Unfortunately, he could not come up with it in time and lost out on an extra $37,000. At least it wasn’t the million!
Wed 9-11-19 $26,230
On Jeopardy: $41,143
Casey got no help with his consonants but he did get two O’s on the vowel side. The phrase wasn’t ringing any bells with him and after time was up, he said he
S _ O U _ D _ A _ E K _ O W _ I _
because he has one in the fridge. Pat said “yummy” and then revealed the $37,000 on the card.
Thu 9-12-19 $58,997
On Jeopardy: $40,600
Lauren got a C, an M and an A from her choices. She must have had
_ _ R E _ _ Y G _ _ _ I _ E _
of what it was to begin with because she got right on it. Lauren won a Ford Edge worth $42,330 in addition to the $16,667 from the main game.
Fri 9-13-19 $27,713
On Jeopardy: $58,400
Donny got two D’s from his letters. That was it but it
J _ S _ _ A S N _ _ E N _ _ G _
to give him a lead. If it’s any consolation, it’s unlikely that anyone else would have chosen either of the two letters that would have helped the most. He lost out on an extra $37,000.
