Wheel of Fortune: America’s Game Week
Here are the bonus puzzles from Wheel of Fortune (May 29 – June 2, 2017), America’s Game Week.
Mon 5-29-17 Wheel: $23,950 + $45,000 On Jeopardy: $35,200
Matthew Lang only got two of his consonants and he certainly picked the magic vowel. You could see that he knew the right answer before Vanna even finished walking back to her spot, so he got an extra $45,000 giving him a grand total of $68,950.
Tue 5-30-17 Wheel: $18,950 + $26,040 (car) On Jeopardy: $14,000
Jim Magner got one of his consonants and his vowel. It’s nice when the consonant is the first letter of the puzzle and it’s nicer when it helps you solve it right away! He won a Volkswagen convertible worth $26,040. Total winnings: $44,990.
Wed 5-31-17 Wheel: $21,150 + $0 On Jeopardy: $12,200
Sandy Payton got two out of four of her consonants (she had a Wild Card). Her vowel just wasn’t in there. She got stuck thinking the first word was “hockey,” forgetting that one of her picks that didn’t show up was the “H” so she missed out on the mini Cooper prize.
Thu 6-1-17 Wheel: $16,750 + $34,000 On Jeopardy: $37,801
Alex Wolf only got an “F” out of his consonants. We think picking the “O” for his vowel made the solution readily apparent to him. However, Pat Sajak credited the solve to the “F”, and said it was a rare pick. Whichever or the combination of both, he got an extra $34,000 for a grand total of $50,750.
Fri 6-2-17 Wheel: $22,665 + $0 On Jeopardy: $27,201
Tami West got 2 instances of the vowel she chose (“O”). She also got a “P” out of her consonants, but not right away. Sajak asked her to confirm that she said “P” before it appeared on the board. (It was on the TV screen the whole time). Tami somehow forgot the Food & Drink category by then. She was working off a last word that wouldn’t fit. That cost her a Jeep Wrangler.
