Wheel of Fortune: Week of 6-3-2019
It’s Wheel of Fortune, Rail Tour Week and we’re posting the Bonus Puzzle with the winner’s final prize amount. By way of comparison, the Jeopardy! payoff is also included with a link to the recap of that game.
Mon 6-3-19 $28,600
On Jeopardy: $46,801
Blake got one D, one M, two G’s and two O’s from his picks.
I _ M I G _ _ _ A V _ _ _ L P _ D
to focus on the last word, but the seconds flew by and Blake lost out on an extra $45,000. Ouch!
Tue 6-4-19 $29,982
On Jeopardy: $24,600
Latunija added one D, one H and two O’s to her puzzle. That just about filled in the whole last word and the first word was
C _ R _ A I _ L _ _ O M _ S _ _ R _
The middle word was the bubble burster that prevented Latunija from picking up an extra $36,000.
Wed 6-5-19 $15,170
On Jeopardy: $25,601
Sarah added one F, one M and two A’s to her puzzle. Most of that went into the first word, leaving 3 words to figure out, practically blind. She gave it a
_ E _ Y _ _ L I _ N T T _ Y
but the second word tripped her up. A Toyota 4Runner was the lost bonus.
Thu 6-6-19 $23,792
On Jeopardy: $38,200
Emerson brought a Wild Card into the bonus round for an extra consonant. He only got two B’s anyhow. They were side-by-side in the last word so that solved
_ A L _ O _ _ T
but he needed to be as quick as a bunny on that first word. When that didn’t happen, he missed out on the extra $36,000.
Note on the weather map: storms were predicted for our area but we didn’t get hit. We did see something that was in one of Emerson’s puzzles: a beautiful rainbow!
Fri 6-7-19 $14,200
On Jeopardy: $20,500
Cherith only got one G and one A out of her letter selections. It was another case of
P _ C _ _ N G T _ E _ B V _ _ U _
and then trying to figure out the unknown. With no leads at all, that was just not happening. She missed out on a Toyota 4Runner.
