Wheel of Fortune, Week of 2-21-2022

It’s Wheel of Fortune, America’s Game and we’re posting the Bonus Puzzle with the winner’s final prize amount. By way of comparison, the Jeopardy! payoff is also included with a link to the recap of that game.

Season 39

Mon 2-21-22: $15,900
On Jeopardy: $20,101
Rachel on Wheel of Fortune (2-21-22)
Rachel put a D, an M and an A in her puzzle. Incredibly, they all went into the first 5-letter word. Now, Rachel
_ N _ Y πŸŸͺ H _ _ πŸŸͺ T _ πŸŸͺ _ E _ L
with the second 4-letter word but, unfortunately, she only had one letter to work with there. She gave it her best shot but it was too hard so she missed out on the $39,000 prize.

Tue 2-22-22: $13,724
On Jeopardy: $7,200
Debbie on Wheel of Fortune (2-22-22)
Debbie got a P and two A’s from her letters. Debbie
T R _ _ D πŸŸͺ T _ _ πŸŸͺ _ L P _ _ B _ T _ C _ L πŸŸͺ _ P P R O _ C _
with the second word. It was only missing one letter but, as Pat alluded to, she needed more than 10 seconds to find it that way. Debbie lost out on a Ford Bronco but agreed with Pat that she had a great night.

Wed 2-23-22: $12,950
On Jeopardy: $34,000
Lindsey on Wheel of Fortune (2-23-22)
Lindsey put one C and one I in her puzzle. Those additions weren’t exactly ideal,
_ U _ πŸŸͺ _ H _ Y πŸŸͺ W _ R _ N ‘ _ πŸŸͺ H O _ _ I _ L _
either. Sometimes, with such a combo, you can just see the solution. Sometimes, you can’t. This turned out to be one of the “can’t” times. Lindsey’s bonus card would have been worth an extra $39,000.

Thu 2-24-22: $12,950
On Jeopardy: $10,600
Jennifer on Wheel of Fortune (2-24-22)
Jennifer got a C and an A out of the letters she chose. This was a really tough puzzle any way you look at it. The chances of her picking
_ H A _ πŸŸͺ _ N E πŸŸͺ D _ U _ L E πŸŸͺ C _ N _ _ N A N _
that may have helped a little were slim indeed. On top of that, the first word had no letters that were in the second! Pat was holding another $39,000 card.

Fri 2-25-22: $16,650
On Jeopardy: $15,001
Jerry on Wheel of Fortune (2-25-22)
Jerry picked some nice letters and was rewarded with one H, one G and two A’s. We honestly thought that this would result in
A πŸŸͺ F I _ _ πŸŸͺ _ _ C O N D πŸŸͺ _ O L _ _
at most. Of course, he got the first word instantly. However, you may have noticed that he repeated the first word halfway through the allotted time as though the second word would just naturally follow. That never leaves much time to figure anything out so he had to kiss an extra $39,000 goodbye.
