Wheel of Fortune: Week of 11-19-2018

It’s Wheel of Fortune, Thanksgiving Week and we’re posting the Bonus Puzzle with the winner’s final prize amount. By way of comparison, the Jeopardy! payoff is also included with a link to the recap of that game.

Mon 11-19-18 Wheel: $19,893
On Jeopardy: one of 3 prizes ($25K, $50K, $100K) in tournament finale
Dallan on Wheel of Fortune (11-19-2018)
Dallan got one H out of his regular letter picks and he had a Wild Card that supplied him with a Y. He was still looking at
_ _ _ T _ F B _ _ N K _ P _ C E _
He knew what the 2 four letters word were but the bookends escaped him. Pat had a new Toyota C-HR on the card and that’s where it stayed.

Tue 11-20-18 Wheel: $22,800
On Jeopardy: $100,000 (Teen Tournament)
Taj on Wheel of Fortune (11-20-2018)
Taj got a D out of his selections and that was all. He closed in on the last 3 words before time ran out, but not the first.
_ U _ T A F _ _ _ _ C _ N D _ M _ R _
and he would have won another $45,000!

Wed 11-21-18 Wheel: $28,405
On Jeopardy: $14,400
Whitney on Wheel of Fortune (11-21-2018)
Whitney got one C from her choices. Even though she could not have picked a better category for that to happen, the answer did not come to her until
_ H _ B I _ _ _ R _ N D
She got it right on the buzzer but we suppose you have to start talking right before the buzzer. Pat decided to proceed as if the buzzer beat her until proven otherwise. Her total from the main game was shown and he said she wasn’t going to get the Toyota C-HR but they were going to check anyway. They checked and she didn’t get it.

Thu 11-22-18 Wheel: $27,750
On Jeopardy: $18,700
Sonja on Wheel of Fortune (11-22-2018)
Sonja successfully chose two O’s, one W and one D. That combo helped solve the first two words but the last one proved to be
A M I _ _ T _ C _ A _ _ E N _ E
“That was not happening,” she said when the word was revealed and the $36,000 on the card wasn’t happening either.

Fri 11-23-18 Wheel: $58,600
On Jeopardy: $28,000
Rick on Wheel of Fortune (11-23-2018)
Rick got two G’s and one A. His Wild Card didn’t ‘P’an out. He thought about it for the better part of the time allowed and then he solved it like
H _ K _ E _ I T A _ _ A _ O _ G
That put an extra $36,000 in his pocket.
