Wheel of Fortune, Week of 10-4-2021
It’s Wheel of Fortune, America’s Game and we’re posting the Bonus Puzzle with the winner’s final prize amount. By way of comparison, the Jeopardy! payoff is also included with a link to the recap of that game.
Mon 10-4-21: $23,000
On Jeopardy: $83,000
David did quite well with his letters, putting one P, one D and 3 A’s on the board.
W _ A _ C _ U _ D G _ W R _ _ _ G?
Sometimes that’s harder to figure out than the puzzle! David certainly came close to sounding this one out, but then he went off in another direction and time ran out. That was a crying shame– Pat was holding the $100K bonus.
Tue 10-5-21: $22,897
On Jeopardy: $50,000
Ari put an H, a G and two O’s in the puzzle and I thought this one would
S _ R E _ Y _ R E _ K _ H E S P E _ _
but Ari’s guess for the second word was way off. He lost out on an extra $39,000. Not nearly as much as yesterday’s bonus card, but it’s still a lot of cash.
Wed 10-6-21: $19,500
On Jeopardy: $16,600
Nicole only got one G out of her letters, much to her dismay
_ U C _ _ O _ E R C _ A G _ I _
but, with that, she was able to immediately zero in on the last word. The totally blank first word was her undoing and another $39,000 was out of reach.
Thu 10-7-21: $20,701
On Jeopardy: $50,400
Melanie got one P from her letters and it was the first letter of her one-word puzzle. Most times, that is a big help. This time, it
_ N L _ _ A _ E T _ I N _ _ W _ R _ E
by adding the distraction of words that fit but cannot be right as they contain common letters. Most players can’t help saying these words and that eats up time. Melanie lost out on an extra $39,000.
Fri 10-8-21: $35,600
On Jeopardy: $50,800
Paula put an H and an A in the first word of the bonus puzzle. Although that pretty much gave her the first word, she didn’t say it out loud until
_ I _ E W _ S _ L M O _ _ _ P
She still didn’t know the last word so she couldn’t collect the $45,000 bonus prize.
