Wheel of Fortune, Week of 1-24-2022
It’s Wheel of Fortune, America’s Game and we’re posting the Bonus Puzzle with the winner’s final prize amount. By way of comparison, the Jeopardy! payoff is also included with a link to the recap of that game.
Season 39
Mon 1-24-22: $23,600
On Jeopardy: $12,600
Lacy only got two A’s out of her letters she chose. Somehow, we think the category was
W _ A T S _ E _ O U _ D C O _ _ U S I _ G
She may have been thinking of the solution in terms of inanimate objects. The bonus prize she lost was a Volkswagen Tiguan.
Tue 1-25-22: $112,000
On Jeopardy: $63,000
Ilene got three D’s and one P from the letters she picked. They certainly
H I _ _ H E R _ G H _ _ P O _ _
so a quick solve was no surprise at all. What was a huge surprise was the $100,000 bonus prize. Ilene could scarcely believe her good fortune!
Wed 1-26-22: $14,000
On Jeopardy: $29,600
Julie put a W, a G and 2 A’s in her bonus puzzle. It didn’t look too bad except for the first word. She had ten seconds to figure out
S O _ E _ H _ E E _ E T T E _ A _ T _ V _ T Y
which can be a lot harder than it looks. She could not get it so she lost out on an extra $39,000.
Thu 1-27-22: $24,140
On Jeopardy: $7,500
Shiela got some help from her letters: two C’s, an M and an O. Now that the 5-letter first word had one of those C’s right in the middle, the task
B _ C _ M _ G U _ _ _ _ H _ _ D J _ C _ I V _
and there wasn’t much chance of that happening in 10 seconds. Shiela missed out on a Volkswagen Tiguan.
Fri 1-28-22: $65,518
On Jeopardy: $13,600
Rachel didn’t get much help from her 4 regular choices– just one I and one G. Then, the letter she chose with her Wild Card
_ A M _ _ O _ H _ R _ S _ U _
It was a clear road ahead after that. Rachel won the Volkswagen Tiguan worth $39,654
