Wheel of Fortune: First Week of 2018
It’s the first week of 2018 on Wheel of Fortune and we’re posting the Bonus Puzzle with the winner’s final prize amount. By way of comparison, the Jeopardy! payoff is also included with a link to the recap of that game.
Mon 1-1-18 Wheel: $23,501
On Jeopardy: $15,201
Jamie Rankin didn’t get any of her consonant picks up there on the board but she did get 3 A’s. That wasn’t enough to sound out this creature’s name and Jamie lost out on a rare pick– the $100,000 card. Awwwwww!
Tue 1-2-18 Wheel: $18,970
On Jeopardy: $8,000
John Gow had a Wild Card going into the bonus round, but when all was said and done, he only got a C and a D to work with. He needed more than that so he didn’t win an extra $35,000.
Wed 1-3-18 Wheel: $15,320
On Jeopardy: $18,801
Andrew Locke had a Wild Card going into the bonus round AND the Million Dollar Wedge. Alas, not one of his 5 letter picks was in the puzzle and he was not able to figure it out. He didn’t pick up the $35,000 on the card, although that was better than the $1M being in there. We would have loved to see a flashlight on the card, as Pat Sajak suggested. LOL, Pat!
Thu 1-4-18 Wheel: $28,896
On Jeopardy: $15,000
Cheryl Reynolds-Young put 3 Os and one D into the bonus round puzzle. The middle word was the obstacle that prevented her from winning the MINI Cooper on the card Pat was holding. That was a bit of a toughie!
Fri 1-5-18 Wheel: $17,650
On Jeopardy: $10,801
Les Norman had a Wild Card so he got to pick 4 consonants, but none of them were in the puzzle! There was one O but that didn’t help him out. For the second time this week, Pat was holding $100,000 that he couldn’t give away. Holy smokes! And we were just saying how rare it is to see the $100K card at all.
