Hip hop cutie, Rihanna recently opened up about her new wrist tattoo:

“It’s tribal,” she said at the UNICEF’s annual Snowflake Lighting Ceremony in New York’s Grand Army Plaza. “It represents strength and love.”

Rihanna further revealed that she got her tat work done on a recent tour date in New Zealand and that “It hurt like hell!”

Not so forthcoming about his tats was a flabbergasted Brad Pitt on yesterday’s Oprah Winfrey show (taped on 11/5/08, aired 11/19).

In a Q & A session, one fan, Christina, knew a little bit too much about Brad’s tats for the “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button” star’s taste. Oprah thought maybe she knew Brad in another life. Brad was totally blown away by the intrusion into his body art. We were surprised, too — most people are happy to talk about it, but Brad obviously feels tattoo questions are highly personal. He recovered sufficiently to give Christina a civil response but chose not to elaborate on the significance of the iceman.
