Jewel as June Carter Cash
Lifetime’s biopic of June Carter Cash will premiere on May 27th. It’s called “Ring of Fire” and here is a clip:
Whereas 2005’s “Walk the Line” told Johnny Cash’s story from his point of view, this is June’s story. Johnny Cash is portrayed by Matt Ross and June’s first husband, Carl Smith, is played by Linds Edward. Looking at the cast on IMDB, seems like they kind of skipped over her second marriage though. They did cast several actors to play her children at various stages of their lives.
The film is based upon John Carter Cash’s narrative: “Anchored in Love: An Intimate Portrait of June Carter Cash.”
