Final Jeopardy: Broadway Musicals (4-5-13)
The Final Jeopardy question (4/5/2013) in the category “Broadway Musicals” was:
The last song in this musical is “Tomorrow is a Latter Day.”
We’re ending the week with a new champ, Salvo Candela who won $26,100 in yesterday’s game. Salvo or one of these new players will be coming back Monday: Eric Nelson from Minneapolis, MN; and Emily Vandermeulen from Owen Sound, ON Canada.
Salvo found the Jeopardy! round Daily Double in “You’ve Got Taste” before the first commercial break. He was in second place with $2,200, $1,200 behind Emily’s lead. He bet $2,000, took a shot with “Matterhorn” but that was WRONG.

A synonym for simple sugars like glucose, this word is quite polysyllabic. show
Salvo finished in the lead with a runaway $19,400. Eric was next with $8,800 and Emily was in third place with $8,000.
TWO of the contestants got Final Jeopardy! right.
WHAT IS “THE BOOK OF MORMON”?
“The Book of Mormon” is an award-winning musical comedy and satire by Trey Parker and Matt Stone, the creators of “South Park.” Parker and Stone have plans to bring the musical to the big screen and, according to the Huff Post, even considered Canadian pop star, Justin Bieber for the lead role of the hotshot young missionary, Elder Price. The musical, meanwhile, continues to tour nationally, and Broadway Tour has all the info on where it is playing.
Emily wrote down “Les Miserables.” The song that might make you think of the word “tomorrow” there is “One Day More” at the end of Act 1. Emily bet and lost everything she had.
Eric got it right and added $700 to finish with $9,500.
Salvo also got it right and bet $1,795 so he ended up with $21,195. His 2-day total is $47,295.
What a crazy game with contestants giving answers wrong to the benefit of another contestant several times. Did anyone catch how Salvo said “Watership Down” so it was wrong?
