George finished in the lead with $5,600. Larry was second with $4,800 and Kathy was last with $800.
Larry found the first Double Jeopardy Daily Double in “This South American Life.” He was in the lead with $8,400, $2,800 more than George in second place. He bet $4,000 and he was RIGHT.

Larry found the last Daily Double in “Science is a 7-Letter Word.” He had a runaway lead with $21,200 — yes, indeed — $16,800 more than Kathy was in second place, He bet $3,000 and said it was gastropod. Well, that’s 9 letters so that was just WRONG.

After uncovering only one clue in “1988 No. 1 Hit Lyrics” (grrr!), the round ended with Larry finishing in the lead with $18,600. Kathy was still in second place with $4,400 and George was last with $3,600.
TWO of the contestants got Final Jeopardy! right.
