WHO IS LYNDON BAINES JOHNSON?

“Super Bowl III was the third AFL-NFL Championship Game in professional American football, but the first to officially bear the name “Super Bowl” (The two previous AFL-NFL Championship Games came to be known, retroactively, as “Super Bowls”). The game, played on January 12, 1969, at the Orange Bowl in Miami, Florida, is regarded as one of the greatest upsets in sports history. The heavy underdog American Football League (AFL) champion New York Jets defeated the National Football League (NFL) champion Baltimore Colts by a score of 16–7.[2] This was the the first Super Bowl victory for the AFL.” (wikipedia)

Nathan thought it was Richard Nixon. That cost him $200 and he finished with $1,000.

Dan got it right. His $9,000 bet brought him up to $18,600.

Carol picked JFK and lost $8,000 and the game to Dan, who is now a two-day champ with a combined total of $31,800.

As Alex Trebek explained, it was a bit tricky. Lyndon B. Johnson was still the President because the game took place 8 days before Inaugural Day, whereupon Richard B. Nixon took office.
