Two-day champ Judy Nichols, who has won $46,500 so far, returned today. To add to that sum and become a 3-day champ, she will have to defeat: Trevor Bryan from Tallahassee, FL and Michelle LaLonde, from Novi, MI.

Michelle found the Jeopardy! round Daily Double in “Elizabethan Era” before the first commercial break. She already had the lead and $1,000 so she was set to bet. And since she made most of that in the same category, she had no problem risking it all. She was RIGHT.

Trevor finished in the lead with $6,600. Michelle was next with $4,400 and Judy was last with $1,000.

Judy found the first Double Jeopardy Daily Double in “Quote ‘Un’ Quote.” She had $2,200 now, but was still in third place with $4,000 less than Trevor who just lost $400 on the clue she got right. She risked $4,000, took a guess with “unselfishness” and that was WRONG.

WHAT IS THE UNCONSCIOUS?

Michelle found the second Daily Double in “Great Depressions.” She was now in third place, $700 behind Judy and $7,800 behind Trevor. She risked $1,800 and she was RIGHT.

WHAT IS NEVADA?

Trevor finished in the lead with $14,600. Judy was in second place with $11,100 and Michelle was last with $10,600.

Only ONE player got Final Jeopardy! right.

WHO IS HAL HOLBROOK?

Born Harold Rowe Holbrook, Jr. on February 17, 1925, he has done a one-man Mark Twain show since 1954. Mark Twain is not the only famous character the actor grew up to play. He also played Abraham Lincoln in the 1980s mini-series “North and South” as well as the 70s TV series,”Lincoln;” and he played John Adams in the 1984 mini-series “George Washington.”

Michelle got it right and bet $7,900. She finished with $18,500.

Judy bet $10,000 and wrote down “Samuel Clemons.” She thought better of it and crossed “Clemons” out and wrote in “Hal Holbrook,” but she failed to cross out Samuel so she blew it and finished with $1,100. We have to say the “Hal” part of that was hard to read, too.

Trevor bet $8,000 but didn’t have a clue who it was so “Harry” was the best he could come up. He finished with $6,600.

So it is Michelle that we’ll be seeing again tomorrow.
