New champ Brandon Lilly returned today after being the only contestant to get Final Jeopardy right yesterday and betting enough to make it matter. Will that happen to one of today’s challengers? Preston Nicholson from Hominy, OK. and Cindy Conaway from Saratoga Springs, NY

Preston found the Daily Double in “Float Sam and Jet Sam” in the Jeopardy! round. He had $2,000, and was only $800 behind Cindy. He bet $1,000 and was RIGHT.

ONE contestant got the Final Jeopardy question right.

WHO ARE JOHN F. KENNEDY & LYNDON B. JOHNSON?

“The menu included cream of tomato soup with crushed popcorn; deviled crab meat imperial; New England boiled stuffed lobster with drawn butter; prime Texas ribs of beef au jus; sting beans amandine; broiled tomato; grapfruit and avocado sections with poppyseed dressing; hot garlic bread; butterflake rolls; pattiserie bateau blanche; mints and coffee.” .

Brandon was the only one who got it right again!. He bet it all and doubled his score to $12,400.

Cindy picked George Washington and John Adams. She lost $5,000, leaving her with $6,100.

Preston blew it too, writing down Obama and Biden. He bet $7,401 and that cost him the game but got him the $2,000 second place prize. He ended up with $7,399.

We don’t know what the other guys had for lunch. They only seem to have from the Kennedy through Nixon lunches. That was a weird name for the category, wasn’t it? It should have been Presidential Grub.

Brandon looked like he couldn’t believe his luck. He will be back on Monday to see if that will work a third time. His 2-day total is $31,600.
