Emmy 2011 In Memoriam List
The Canadian Tenors gave a rousing rendition of Hallelujah throughout the In Memoriam segment of the 2011 Emmy Awards show. Still, American Idol has ruined that song for us and we do hope that is one of the songs they scratch off their list next year. They Might be Snubs
We’re not going to call it an Emmy snub, but missing from the list were:
- Len Lesser (December 3, 1922 – February 16, 2011)
- Jeff Conaway (October 5, 1950 – May 27, 2011)
- Clarice Taylor (September 20, 1917 – May 30, 2011)
And they also left out David Nelson (October 24, 1936 – January 11, 2011), who practically grew up on television — egregious.
And Tony Curtis (June 3, 1925 – September 29, 2010). Yes, Tony was a movie legend but he did quite a bit of television. Everything from the voice of Stony Curtis in “The Flintstones” to playing Sam Giancana in made-for-TV flick “Mafia Princess.” Susan Lucci played his daughter.
