Boardwalk Empire’s Child Actors
In Boardwalk Empire’s third episode of “Broadway Limited” (10/3/2010), Nucky Thompson’s mistress, Lucy Danziger (Paz de la Huerta), brings up the topic of ruining her figure by giving Nucky a baby, but she says: “I’ll do it if that’s what you want.” Nucky (Steve Buscemi) looks less than thrilled at the prospect and tells her they’ll revisit the topic at a later time.
Even if Nucky and Lucy don’t reproduce, some of the other Boardwalk Empire characters already have and there are several children in the cast.
Margaret Schroeder (Kelly Macdonald) has two children, both of whom are played by identical twins:
Adorable identical twins, Lucy and Josie Gallina, have their first shared role as Margaret’s daughter, Emily. In the 1st episode, Emily starts crying as her father becomes abusive toward Margaret.
Margaret loses the baby as a result of her husband’s abuse (although we don’t see that). In the “Boardwalk Limited” episode, little Emily asks Margaret at breakfast when the new baby is coming, not knowing her mother has miscarried. Margaret says she thinks the “stork got lost.”
Declan McTigue and his twin brother, Rory, just turned 7 years old on October 3, 2010, but already have quite the acting resume. The identical boys began acting in 2006 with a shared role on an episode of Law & Order: Criminal Intent. They then shared the role of the grandson of Adam Chandler (David Canary) on the ABC soap opera, “All My Children,” appearing in 74 episodes from 2008-2010.
In “Boardwalk Empire,” they play Margaret’s son, Teddy.
Yet another set of twins, Connor Noon and Brady Noon, make their acting debut as Tommy Darmody, the little son of James “Jimmy” Darmody (Michael Pitt) and Angela Darmody (Aleksa Palladino). Their IMDB resumes both list a New York Life commercial as a credit – Brady’s says he is the boy on the big wheel in this commercial:
In the “Broadway Limited” episode, Jimmy Darmody lets Tommy go into the photography shop he always makes a beeline for when they are out on the boardwalk. Jimmy finds out why, and now we’re not too sure who Tommy’s daddy is.
