Wheel of Fortune, Week of 4-6-2020

It’s Wheel of Fortune, America’s Game and we’re posting the Bonus Puzzle with the winner’s final prize amount. By way of comparison, the Jeopardy! payoff is also included with a link to the recap of that game.

Mon 4-6-20 $93,831
On Jeopardy: $17,599 (Tournament Score)
Tony on Wheel of Fortune (4-6-2020)
Tony got a G and a D out of the 4 consonants he was entitled to choose. He also got one A. That completely filled in the first word and it didn’t take too long to
_ I G _ R _ O _ _ _ H E S _ _ O N _.
The best surprise of all was a $45,000 card, nearly doubling the $48,831 he won in the main game.

Tue 4-7-20 $12,108
On Jeopardy: $24,001 (Tournament Score)
Erin on Wheel of Fortune (4-7-2020)
Erin put 2 D’s and one O in her bonus puzzle, not a whole lot of help. It
_ E C _ M E _ N U _ H I _ _ _ _ T T _ E
when she thought there might be an E in the puzzle. She lost out on an extra $37,000.

Wed 4-8-20 $113,055
On Jeopardy: $20,801 (Tournament Score)
Dave on Wheel of Fortune (4-8-2020)
Dave got one of each consonant he chose (D, W, B) and two of his vowel (A). Not surprising, when he had already amply demonstrated
H I _ P U _ _ L _ _ O L _ I N _ _ _ I L L _.
Pat jokingly attempted to “build up a little tension” but you knew that Dave had that in the bag. A BMW X2 worth $41,165 was waiting for him on the card. That was in addition to the $71,890 he won in the main game (in no small part thanks to Pat landing on the $5,000 wedge on the last spin). Wow! It certainly was Dave’s lucky day.

Thu 4-9-20 $22,050
On Jeopardy: $22,050 (Tournament Score)
Grace on Wheel of Fortune (4-9-2020)
Grace got some hits with a P and a C. She also got one O. What she really needed was
A C _ U _ L E M _ R _ _ E C _ _ D _.
Her first attempt to talk it out (microcats) was ice cold but she was getting real close with her second try. Alas, the clock was unforgiving and she lost out on $37,000.

Fri 4-10-20 $70,813
On Jeopardy: $28,400 (Tournament Score)
Jason on Wheel of Fortune (4-10-2020)
Jason got two C’s, one H and, most importantly, three F’s.
A _ A _ H E _ _ O _ _ U I _ 0 U _ _ E L E _ _ I _ N.
Whether he knew it at first glance or not, it sure worked out. Jason won a Mercedes-Benz GLB 250 worth $41,565 on top of $29,248. That was the third extraordinary payday this week!
