Fact Monster has this Final Jeopardy! answer in its interesting list of facts about the Olympics. Another one is: “No country in the Southern Hemisphere has ever hosted a Winter Games.” Probably not cold enough, eh? The first Winter Olympic Games were held in Chamonix, France in 1924 and the first Summer Games were held in Athens, Greece in 1896.
Catherine bet $2,600 and finished with $10,000.
Rose bet $3,000. She finished with $12,400.
Elyse took a bit of a bigger risk with a nice $10,000 bet and it paid off. She finished with $23,200 to bring into tomorrow’s final match. Quite an advantage!
