Wheel of Fortune Great Outdoors Week 2017

It’s the Great Outdoors on Wheel of Fortune and we’re posting the Bonus Puzzle with the winner’s final prize amount. By way of comparison, the Jeopardy! payoff is also included with a link to the recap of that game.

Mon 11-27-17 Wheel: $16,815
On Jeopardy: $26,401
Daniel Young on Wheel of Fortune (11-27-2017)
Daniel Young added a P and two O’s to the mix and it looked promising but, somehow, he just couldn’t get a handle on it. The $35,000 on the card stayed put.

Tue 11-28-17 Wheel: $19,737
On Jeopardy: $20,799
Phil Bennett on Wheel of Fortune (11-28-2017)
Phil Bennett filled in 5 letters on his puzzle: one G, two M’s and two I’s. He had the first 3 words figured out but that last one stayed out of reach. Same thing with the $35,000 the card.

Wed 11-29-17 Wheel: $20,800
On Jeopardy: $5,199
Chrystal Davis-Evans on Wheel of Fortune (11-29-2017)
Chrystal Davis-Evans added a G and an H to the bonus puzzle, one letter in each word. It wasn’t much help though, when the G can have a soft or hard sound. She missed out on the Jeep Cherokee, but her substantial winnings in the main game were nothing to frown about!

Thu 11-30-17 Wheel: $15,000
On Jeopardy: $15,900
Stephanie Weyant on Wheel of Fortune (11-30-2017)
Stephanie Weyant spun the million dollar wheel tonight. She then only added one consonant, a P, to her vowel-laden puzzle. As luck would have it, her vowel pick wasn’t up there either. That still gave her the last word but not the first. She didn’t win the extra $35K on the card. Pat Sajak seemed so relieved that it wasn’t a repeat of the Zucchini Affair, that he almost forgot to show the location of the million dollar wedge.

Fri 12-1-17 Wheel: $25,714
On Jeopardy: $20,200
Tony Harrison on Wheel of Fortune (12-01-2017)
Tony Harrison got one G and one O from his letter picks but the G was a silent one, so it was actually more of an obstacle than a help to solving this puzzle. Bummer! He missed out on an extra $35K.
