Wheel of Fortune: Boston Week

Here are the bonus puzzles from Wheel of Fortune (May 22 – May 26, 2017), featuring Boston in their Great American Cities theme.

Mon 5-22-17 Wheel: $16,050 + $0 On Jeopardy: $34,805
Ross Metherton on Wheel of Fortune (5-22-2017)
Ross Metherton had a Wild Card entitling him to 4 consonants but he only got one out of the 4. His vowel was there, too. But the Curse of the Compound Word struck again and Ross missed out on an extra $40K.

Tue 5-23-17 Wheel: $14,250 + $0 On Jeopardy: $28,405
Aimee Soy on Wheel of Fortune (5-23-2017)
Aimee Soy got the vowel she chose (“O”) but that was it. None of her consonants were up there to help her get this one-word thing. That was a shame because she picked a better-than-average card — $45K.

Wed 5-24-17 Wheel: $11,478 + $0 On Jeopardy: $12,600
Emily Benjamin on Wheel of Fortune (5-24-2017)
Emily Benjamin got one of her consonants and one instance of her chosen vowel, but that wasn’t enough to help her get this 3-word thing. Another better-than-average card — a Camaro – stayed out of reach.

Thu 5-25-17 Wheel: $20,354 + $0 On Jeopardy: $22,401
Diane Boucher on Wheel of Fortune (5-25-2017)
Diane Boucher got 3/4s of her picks– 2 consonants and one “O.” The solution eluded her and so did the extra $45,000. So far, this week is the exact opposite of last week, when all Bonus Rounds were solved from Monday through Thursday!

Fri 5-26-17 Wheel: $21,400 + $33,290 (car) On Jeopardy: $18,590
Kianesha Dennis on Wheel of Fortune (5-26-2017)
Kianesha Dennis had a Wild Card going into the Bonus Round. So she had 4 consonants and that turned out to be most fortuitous — only her extra consonant was in the puzzle. Her vowel was in there too and she solved it with lightning speed, winning a Camaro worth $33,290. Total haul: $54,690.

We have only 2 weeks of this season of Wheel Of Fortune, and I know that the 2017 part of this season has had more downs than ups in the Bonus Round, but I’m hoping that for these 2 weeks, we’ll have some excitement, like a $100,000 winner.

The week of May 22 was the opposite of the week of May 15.
