Gangnam Style Beats Bieber Youtube Record

As of Saturday, South Korean rapper PSY’s “Gangnam Style” beat Justin Bieber’s most viewed record for his video “Baby.”

Yesterday YouTube posted on its Trends blog that “Gangnam Style” had exceeded Bieber’s 803 million views with a record 805 million views. Today it is fast approaching 818 million views

There’s also this: PSY’s video, featuring his horse-riding dance, has only been on YouTube since July 15, 2012, while “Baby” has been up there since February 2010.

Justin Bieber haters have wasted no time leaving messages on the youtube page mocking Bieber.

Fox News reported that when U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon of South Korea met with Psy about a month ago, he quipped that he now has to relinquish his title as “most famous Korean,” and even tried a few PSY’s dance moves.

“I’m a bit jealous. Until two days ago someone told me I am the most famous Korean in the world. Now I have to relinquish. I have no regrets,” Ban said.
