David Menchaca is our latest champ and the second new one this week, after winning $15,900 yesterday. If he wants to come back Monday, he has to beat these two challengers today: Jim Stekelberg, from Granada Hills, CA and Sally Green, from Moscow, ID.

Sally found the Jeopardy! round Daily Double in “Who Said What About Whom.” She was in the lead with $4,600, $2,200 more than Jim, who was in second place. She bet $1,400 and she was RIGHT.

Sally finished in the lead with $9,400. Jim was second with $3,800 and David was last with $2,600.

David found the first Double Jeopardy Daily Double in “The British Are Going.” He was now in second place with $10,600, only $400 behind Sally. He bet $2,000 and he was RIGHT.

David found the last Daily Double in “20th Century Writers.” He was now in the lead with $15,400, $4,400 more than Sally in second place. He bet $2,000 again but he just had no idea so he was WRONG.

David finished in the lead with $15,400. Sally was next with $12,200 and Jim was in third place with $8,600.

Jim got it right and added $1,000 to finish with $9,600.

Sally wrote down “the Dominican Republic.” Its official language is Spanish. She lost $5,001, finishing with $7,199.

David also got it right and he bet $9,001 so he ended up with $24,401. He will be returning as a 2-day champ on Monday with total winnings of $40,301.
