For the 3rd day in a row, we have a new champ. Michelle Martin won $24,800 in yesterday’s match. Today she competes anew against these two players: Darren Abernethy from Washington, DC; and Judy Arginteanu from Minneapolis, MN.
Michelle found the Jeopardy! round Daily Double in “Portmanteaus.” She was in second place with $2,400, $5,800 behind Judy in the lead. She bet $1,000 and she was RIGHT.

Judy finished in the lead with $8,200, that Minne-Coda category about her home state being a huge boon for her. Michelle was second with $4,200 and Darren was last with $1,800.
Judy found the first Double Jeopardy Daily Double in “Authors Against Adaptations.” She was in the lead with $9,400, $4,000 more than Michelle in second place. She bet $2,000 and she was RIGHT.

Judy found the last Daily Double in “Signs & Symbols.” She now had the lead with $13,000. She bet $3,000 and she was RIGHT.

Judy finished in the lead with a runaway $20,000. Michelle made a valiant effort to catch up and was second with $9,400. Darren was last with $3,000.
